I rate this book a 4 out of 5.
I found this book to be very different from other books about finding our purpose because it also teaches how we can reach as many people as we can by building a digital community and making a difference. I liked this book because I can tell that Gina Bianchini has first hand experiences with other people and their own journey to discovering their purpose, so in many ways I felt understood and a lot of what she talked about resonated with my own life experiences.
Social media and online entrepreneurialship can be very hard to navigate and this book provided a wonderful and clear road map. I think it is helpful for those who are new to this world and to those who have experience already, because it offers new ideas and new ways to think of building an online community. The steps that she put were really helpful alongside the exercises, examples and templates. I especially enjoyed the Future story exercises from the Purpose 30. It's a wonderful way to get clear and inspired to live our purpose.
I personally found this book to be very enlightening and important for my own professional endeavour, I've been on social media promoting my work/my purpose and in a sense building my own community for a couple of years, however I recognise now how I lacked the basic tools and knowledge that Gina Bianchini explains in this book. Even just understanding the difference between building a community and building an audiance was very illuminating and provided me a different perspective. I am very grateful for having read this book and having access to this knowledge. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to expand their understanding, reach, and skills over these topics.
