‘Purpose’ is a book I received just in time when I was looking for a purpose myself. As you read the questions posed in the book, you will definitely take a moment to think what would be your answer to them.
Author’s life during her childhood in Cupertino, California was very touching. She picked up community culture during these days and that has helped her in multitude ways today.
I would like to call it a ‘Handbook’ for life. If you think you are looking for something in life, this book will definitely guide you through to find those answers you were actually looking for.
‘Three things you are able to do in future which you can’t do today’, ‘proudest accomplishments’ and ‘things for which you have taken stand for’ - are great questions to ask ourselves.
I wish there was one chapter dedicated towards initial motivation in order to look for that purpose in one’s life. Lacking that initial motivation could lead to not looking for any purpose. As Gina has rightly mentioned in the very beginning, “you may have picked this book because you are searching for your purpose.”
It took me few hours to finish this book. It kept me engaged and I was always curious to know the next steps in this method. It will definitely make you think about the questions posed and you go on answering them while reading. But it would be a great idea to write them every day in order to find your purpose in life.
It was easy to follow and I see myself taking this method to find my purpose. Most of the things stated in the book were relatable. A great motivation in itself, this book was a great read!
Overall I would give it 5 out of 5!
