Review of Niching Up
[Following is a volunteer review of "Niching Up" by Chris Dreyer.]
Niching Up by Chris Dreyer.
A book that provides a great analysis of what entrepreneurs and businesses may need to do to become successful.
As very well said by the author, niching up is not for everyone, but after considering being an option within the business you work at, then it will bring you success, more profit, loyal clients and expertise.
The author provides great examples not only related to his business area, but to give the opportunity to every reader to understand normal and conventional examples that will provide the information to understand the depth and knowledge of niching up.
The author, Mr Dreyer, has provided the clues to analyze the pros and the cons of niching up. Taking this into consideration the reader will be able to detect if they have enough experience in the market to niche, or if they need to keep on mastering their business in order to become experts in their area to be able to niche and attract the clients and close deals with them to become clients.
Pricing is something businesses struggle sometimes. What will my service be worth? How much is worth, competitors, and the market itself will determine the guidelines. But with niching up, we can establish our own premium price, as we are experts and different from the rest to provide a better service, a better knowledge and therefore have more profit.
The positivity and realism of examples provided are amazing as it gives a new approach when some people say niching won't give you enough ROI, but niching up is opportunity if your company, your expertise and goals are aligned into that form of business.
The conclusion given by the Author, will give you a great summary of all the aspects that need to be taken into consideration to analyze if we are ready to niche,do we have the knowledge to offer to our clients the service and expertise, is that what we want to do, could we make enough money with the niche clients we might get, do we need to diversify with other niches in the future.
Niching up its a great book to open our horizon in business. I rate this book with a 4 out of 5. It is above average as it provides detailed information with great examples that everyone can understand, provides positivity and will give a new approach to some people to maybe change the way they do business and create a new better version, if niching up is for them.
