Purpose is a book written with passion, integrity, and with an intimate knowledge of the importance of relationship.
Gina Bianchini provides a realistic depiction of both the potential reach of the internet, as well as it’s potential for creating a sense of overwhelm when considering creating your own community. Her experience starting out in Silicon Valley had accurate details which serve as an excellent reminder for us readers of how far we have come, technologically, over the past few decades. As she shares her journey in finding her purpose, she manages to shed some light on ways to find meaning in our lives through technology. Her descriptive writing is very positive and optimistic, which helps create inspiration. She uses her professional knowledge of community design but explains it in a simplistic way that captures and creates a strong understanding for a variety of readers.
I found that the extra detail about purpose questions was well captured and an integral component in building strong relationships. I also love that she gave several examples to use.
This book was easy to read and I found my self talk to sound something like this…”just one more page.”
I also appreciated her ability to incorporate some historical information, tech talk, and human kindness, which is much needed. The positive language stood out as did a sense of Hope.
In the Community Design chapters, the examples and ideas given were an excellent way to provide clarity and to encourage thinking about “My Future Story.” The community agenda ideas really sparked my interest and took me to a few different places in my mind.
Overall, this book was clearly written, inspirational, historically accurate, practical, helpful, with enough information to get started, immediately, right after completing the last chapter! I found no typos,
Or grammatical issues! I would buy this book and/or recommend it to others, especially those unsure of their purpose.
My only negative feedback is the cover. The color choice seems drab and if in print, i might skip over it, if on a shelf. I rate this book 4 out of 5.
