This book is an interesting memoir.
I am familiar with the political and historical context due to my personal studies. Because of this, this book isn't easily accessible to those who aren't interested in such areas of the world, as well as the faiths Ghoulem Berrah and his wife had (different faiths). There are the memoirs of an ambassador who was an Algerian freedom fighter and a thousand other things after all!
The book is over 600 pages with historical pictures illustrating them.

The historical aspect of these stories is what fully grabbed me as well as how the book was made in terms of how the chapters deal with a different chapter of his life and his encounters. It's not an easy read, but it's a good one.

It's a good book if you're interested in peacemaking through religious faiths coming together, and are interested in those specific aspects of African colonization and diplomacy. If you're curious about these complex political and diplomatic elements, this is a 5 out of 5 book.
