Reconfigurment by E. Alan Fleischauer is a book that discusses planning retirement from an early stage. It is well known that planning retirement can be a difficult process for all but it is not required to be as daunting as it sounds if it is planned ahead. Our society is changing and the improved medical field has irrevocably increased the life span of human beings and that brings us back to planning about retirement with special care. This book shares various retirement strategies that can help the American citizen to plan for their retirement years properly, with less hassle.

E. Alan Fleischauer, an Accredited Investment Fiduciary, has done an exceptional job in the commencement of this book. The content of this book discusses a heavy topic and the author with his vast experience in the field of finance and as a financial advisor in his financial advisory firm is a perfect person to provide answers to what is needed to plan for retirement to have a comfortable lifestyle. In this book, you learn about budgeting, various insurance policies, income protection plans, medical care, investment in different ways and many other things. The book was written with keeping an average reader in mind and that will be helpful to a lot of readers. The whole book itself is wonderfully written with different advice from the author about hardships people can face in their working life and how to overcome them. Most importantly by using situations that can be encountered by anyone in life, it gives reasonable answers to the problems using simple explanations. Many things can be learned from this book from ways to reconfigure your life to the ways to be successful. This book also provides statistical data for jobs, investments, insurance and more.

Mostly what I liked about this book is how the author tried to make this heavy topic somewhat lighter through his writing style and by adding jokes here and there. I loved that most of his jokes were related to the topic of finance. Most importantly this book provided such brief content about the different problems one could face during one's working life and retirement because of his work in the financial field. The author included several careers and personality tests with links, this helps the readers to identify the career they want and how that career matches with their personality. The book is written with such an easy flow, a fast reader can easily finish it in one sitting.

This book can't easily be generalized, mostly because this book focuses on special types of systems that are only found in the United States of America. This is the only thing I didn't like about this book. The book seemed to be edited professionally as I have not found a single mistake in it.

This book guides and gives more knowledge about financial literacy. It serves its purpose by providing well-informed information to the reader. This book is a good read for any age group, so it can be recommended to readers in their 20s, 30s, 40s or 50s, whoever wants a well-rounded idea about planning their retirement days early. I am happy to rate this book a 5 out of 5 as I disliked nothing about this book.
