Review of A Voice from Heaven
A Voice from Heaven: From Earthly Struggles to Thriving in the Afterlife is a fascinating story of spiritual reconnection and transcendental conversations between a grief-stricken mother and her dearly loved son in the afterlife, written by Alexander V. Girman and Cynthia J. Girman. The transcendental conversations between Cindy and Alec occur mainly early in the mornings of each day. The personal life story of Alec's struggles before his death is also shared, along with Cindy's grief journey after Alec's unexpected drug-related death.
In some chapters, each parent, Tom and Cindy, reminisces about the life of their beloved son until his death. Alec was their adopted son and had Asperger's syndrome combined with ADHD. His unexpected drug-related death brought grief to his parents, especially his mother, Cindy. In their intimate conversations with her mother, Cindy, Alec shares his experience in the spiritual realm, what heaven is like, and its enduring love. Cindy gets a chance to ask many universal questions that many of us might have about the afterlife. To explore the afterlife, get a copy of this book and delve into its pages.
I enjoyed the transcendental conversations between Cindy and her deceased son, as I learned much about the afterlife. I learned and understood the roles of guiding spirits, angels that are not as we perceive them, space and time in the afterlife, and many other things through their intimate conversations. I found spirituality, addiction, and eternal love to be the book's main and most captivating themes. The book was engaging and intriguing; I could not put it down for even a minute once I started reading because my curiosity about the afterlife couldn't allow it.
The descriptions of heaven were terrific. The style of writing was good. It was entertaining and immensely descriptive. The importance of loving ourselves, having full acceptance of ourselves, and doing what makes us happy was portrayed in the book. Cindy has a lot of anxiety and insecurities because she didn't learn to love and accept herself. The author and her husband had witnessed and lost their beloved son to addiction. I loved their enacted initiative to try to combat and curb the addiction and keep others from facing the same loss she experienced. I appreciate the author providing details of psychic medium sessions at the end of the book.
I was blissfully reading this book about the afterlife. I didn't find any errors, and it was clearly exceptionally edited. Also, there were no negative aspects of the book that I disliked. Therefore, I will award it a total rating of 5 out of 5 stars.
The story was insightful about the afterlife. The message from the book was that we should seek joy and enjoy our lives to the fullest every day. I recommend the book to anyone who has lost a loved one and enthusiasts who want to learn more about the afterlife.
