Review of Snatched Up to Heaven!
Name of the book: Snatched Up to Heaven!
Authors' names: Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul.
Summary: The book 'Snatched Up to Heaven!', written by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul is a collection of testimonials of two little sisters, Priyanka and Deepika, 4 and 2 years young girls who visited heaven and hell and shared their experiences through this book. One day, Priyanka woke up all excited and ran to her mother with a smiling face to tell her about a very beautiful dream she got last night. She saw that fairies took her and her younger sister to heaven with them. They also saw and talked with Jesus. He gave some teachings. She described the polite and beautiful fairies and how they treated them and taught and showed them all the good things. Children are pure souls who don't know this cruel world, that's why they get so afraid when they see something unexpected they've never seen before.
Listening to Priyanka explaining all her dreams to her mom was so relaxing. I was smiling the whole time I was reading the book. Considering that Priyanka and Deepika are only four and two and are trying their best to perfectly describe all the complicated things that they experienced is heartwarming. On top of that, it also shows the readers that they listened to their parents actively when they read them the Bible.
One day, Priyanka woke equally horrified as she was excited the first day she got the dream. But this time, her dream was not a pleasant one. She came crying to her mother to tell her that this time, the fairies took her to hell instead of heaven, and it was very dark and frightening.
Positive: This book taught and reminded me of many things. It tells us how we should always make correct decisions based on right and wrong in our lives. This book teaches us how bad deeds will always reward us with bad results, and good karma will be rewarded with good.
Negative: The story could have had some twists and turns here and there, but then it would have made the book somewhat complicated for children. I didn't find anything other than this that can be put into this section of the review.
Rating: 5 out of 5.
Justification: I'd rate this book a five out of five because these days, there are rarely any books that are fit for children to read. But Jemima and Arvind have written this book, especially for children. The vocabulary is kept simple for kids to understand.
Recommendation: I'd recommend this book to children and parents of children who read them bedtime stories. It is also a good addition to the dictionary for someone who wants a quick read.
Errors: I didn't find any errors in this book. The book is flawlessly edited.
