‘Snatched up to Heaven!’ by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul is a nonfiction book that narrates the dreams and visions of the children of the writers. These dreams and visions are those of children being taken to see heaven and hell. The writers have written accounts of what the children shared in their words, without changing the words they used in their descriptions. They have also written their interpretation of these dreams to help readers understand what the children dreamed about. Apart from descriptions of heaven and hell, the children also have interactions with Jesus and God. We read about these beautiful interactions.

My favorite thing about this book was the mother. Not every parent would listen to their child with so much attentiveness and patience. Children ought to feel that their parents have their full attention to share many details without missing anything. The father is also a wonderful individual and supports his wife and children. This bond is noteworthy.

The interpretations of the children’s dreams were detailed in an orderly and clear format. The writer has used some excellently formulated diagrams to support certain explanations. These diagrams are useful in giving a concise picture of what is being explained. Some details have also been given in point form for clarity. I also noted that the whole book has been sectioned in an orderly manner. The excellent style of writing this book ensured that I was engrossed throughout. There were no preachy paragraphs. Instead, everything has been described in concise detail.

I also liked that the writer quoted from the Bible to support her interpretations. This will help the reader understand the dreams better too. This also supports everything the writer says, as readers can double-check and identify the truth of what the writer is trying to share. Readers who are not Christian will also be able to have a better understanding. They will be able to read the proof of whatever the children dreamed about.

This book is to the point. The joys of heaven and the woes of hell have been described. These illustrations act as a reminder to the reader to find the truth and act on it. It also reminds us to be better people, because failure to change our sinful ways has terrible consequences. The description of heaven made me eager to enjoy those pleasures. The interactions between the children and God reminded me that it is only He that we ought to please. He is the one who has given everything and there is nobody else that can take His place. I felt that, as I read further into the book, my eagerness to avoid hell surpassed my enthusiasm to enter heaven. It reminded me that Satan is the one true enemy.

It is also noteworthy that the writer has mentioned the evils of Halloween in detail. It is a festival that is celebrated in many countries. This book identifies the evils behind Halloween, and how it is against faith. This day has been commercialized and normalized to the point that it is considered normal and harmless. This book reminds us that it is beyond harmful.

There is absolutely nothing that I disliked about the book. It is suitable for Christian readers who are seeking reminders to be better believers. Followers of other faiths can also read this book to get an understanding of Christianity.

I would rate this book five out of five (5/5) stars. I thoroughly enjoyed how many important aspects of religion have been described in detail without seeming too preachy. This book will give hope to readers. Readers will remember that it is never too late to turn in the right direction toward the right faith.
