Not only do you find interesting tidbits about the musicians, their music, and life, but you also begin to see the era which gave rise to this sound. As the author states, The Stones were masters of the art, but also transparent, through their music, about the world in which they lived. This tome belongs in every music library, not just relegated to those who are fans of The Rolling Stones. Beviglia compares and contrast the music and musicians of the time helping us gain a greater understanding where we have been and how we have gotten to where we are.
