Small Groups for the Rest of Us: How to Design Your Small Gr

Post by thomaslaw3 »

Whereas for the past thirty or so years the front door of the church has been the worship service today we are transitioning and the front door of the church is becoming the living room. As the author points out most churches have small groups (Sunday school), but even though we have been doing them for a long time we are not doing a very good job. Today's small groups are designed for extroverts, yet by one estimate more than 70% of the population are introverts. Is it any wonder we can't get them to come back? In a clear and engaging way Surratt peels back the layers of the small group revolution. He highlights the problems and lays out workable solutions. If your church is going to be part of the future you need to read this book.
