Does This Beach Make Me Look Fat? by Lisa Scottoline and Fr

Post by sklein43 »

I read this book solely because it was given to me as a gift... It used to be the kind of book I enjoyed reading. Back when I would read Tori Spelling's book (cannot believe that was my choice of reading!). The book itself was not bad, but it was just frustrating to me, because all I could think about throughout every chapter was "I could be a writer, if this is what it takes". There was nothing significant about their experiences they wrote about. Anywho, maybe I was just a bit jealous, who knows. There was one line in there that just stuck with me though: "And so we are, each of us, a book. But no one of us is truly finished. We're constantly rewriting ourselves, and the possibilities are limitless. We never know where our own narrative will lead, or which plot twist will come out which way". Wow. I really liked that. Overall, would not exactly recommend this book unless you want to read something where you may chuckle a little, but you truly do not have to keep up with a plot or have to think at all...
