Robert Laney’s book, Involuntary Reroute, is a captivating and enlightening read that unveils the hidden and shady aspects of the airline business, especially the AD75 scheme, which enables travel agents to purchase first-class tickets at a very low price. The book is inspired by the author’s own story as a young innovator who founded his travel agency with his mother and later developed the first online booking site that offered huge savings on first-class flights. The book follows Laney’s path from a college student to a prosperous entrepreneur, as well as the difficulties and hurdles he encountered along the way, such as legal battles, investigations, rivals, and cyberattacks. The book also reveals the dishonesty and exploitation of the airlines, who try to conceal the real worth of their seats and charge outrageous prices to naive customers.

The book is well-crafted, absorbing, and informative. Laney uses a casual tone and a witty style to tell his story and explain complicated ideas simply and lucidly. He also provides many instances, stories, and screenshots to support his arguments and show proof of his statements. The book is not only amusing but also instructive, as it teaches readers how to save money on air travel and avoid being cheated by the airlines. Laney also shares his wisdom and tips on entrepreneurship, innovation, and customer service, based on his own experience and lessons learned.

I liked reading this book and I gained a lot from it. I was amazed by Laney’s inventiveness, bravery, and persistence in pursuing his dream and overcoming his challenges. I was also appalled by the degree of the airline's deception and the system's injustice. I think this book is a must-read for anyone who travels by air or is curious about the travel industry or entrepreneurship. I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars, as I did not find any errors or flaws in it. I would suggest this book to anyone who wants to learn more about the secrets of the airline industry and how to get the best deals on air travel.
