"The Solution is Political Revolution" by Jillion R. Rising is a non-fiction book aimed at the people of the United States of America, concentrating deeply on the country's political concerns and offering possible solutions. The book begins with the author's self-introduction and then unfolds a roadmap, where each chapter acts as a stepping stone, logically unraveling the issues afflicting the United States. It commences with an exploration of corruption in Washington DC and goes on to explain different topics like the financial crisis in 2008, how rich people get richer, and how the government spends money. The author discusses potential solutions for reshaping the system and encourages readers to propose better ideas if they disagree with his suggestions.
Interestingly, while I was in the midst of reading, I happened to watch the Netflix documentary film "Inside Job" about the 2008 financial crisis. This helped make more sense of the issues covered in the book.
The book is undeniably thought-provoking. The author makes his points logically, offers solutions, and hopes to inspire readers. I'm grateful for the opportunity to learn from this book because politics and economics have been both interesting and challenging topics for me, and this book has helped shed light and provide a better understanding. I happily give it a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.
Regarding negatives, I could scarcely identify any. However, it's worth mentioning that the book discusses topics such as the fiat monetary system, the mechanics of government deficits, and the schemes of the Federal Reserve which can be challenging to understand. The author repeats explanations occasionally to ensure clarity, which might be noticeable to readers.
The book's editing is commendable. I noticed only one or two minor typos that had no impact on my reading experience.
I would recommend this book to readers who are interested in understanding political and economic issues. Readers who are open to thought-provoking content and are willing to engage with complex topics will likely find this book both informative and engaging.
