Review of Snatched Up to Heaven!
Since my childhood, I've been told a lot of stories about heaven and hell and how contrasting these places are. Since that time, this topic has always fascinated me. Snatched up to Heaven! authored by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul, is a 131-page non-fiction book. The authors share the visions their two daughters, Priyanka and Deepika, had about heaven and hell.
Priyanka and Deepika were four and two years old respectively, when they experienced their first vision. Jemima being keen on the topic of heaven did not pay much attention when Priyanka shared her visit to heaven but Arvind considered it and was intrigued. Both Jemima and Arvind were in awe and were surprised that their kids saw and experienced such visions. In the very first vision, angels came and carried these two little girls to heaven where they met God and Jesus. After the angels brought their souls back to their earthly bodies, Priyanka prayed very hard to God, as she wanted to revisit heaven. They described heaven as a very beautiful, serene, and sacred place where God and Jesus lived. They had visions of hell too. It was a very scary and dark place where devils and witches lived, and the smell of burning sulfur was constant.
I liked how the visions are narrated in raw form, unpolished, and without changing the words. The author told us exactly what their daughters told them. After every narration of vision, there are interpretations of it. These interpretations are backed and guided by the Bible which increases the credibility and reliability of those explanations. I appreciate that the author did not leave or ignore any part of the vision and how beautifully they explained it by quoting the quotes from the Bible. The explanations were easy to follow and were in a very simplified language. In the end, the author has even provided links to the recordings of their daughters telling about the visions they had. The author also shared the drawings drawn by Priyanka and Deepika of heaven and hell according to their visions and I found them very cute.
There was nothing to dislike in this book. Although I found few typos, it did not obstruct my reading and interpretation. I would like to give this book five out of five stars. The intention to write this book was pure, as Jemima and Arvind only desired to give the message to the audience and not to gain any sort of fame.
I would recommend this book to people who believe in and follow Christianity and identify themselves as religious. And to find out why I used the word 'vision' instead of 'dream' you’ll have to read the book!
