Easy by Tammara Webber

Post by Zane136 »

"Easy by Tammara Webber" is a new adult genre which I feel is a must read.
It has mature contemporary read that deals with serious issues like date rape, sexual assault, stalking , violence, etc. it also stress on the point of being self-reliant and when such situation arises how to tackle it.

Easy also deals with common problem of girls who lose their identity to conceited boyfriends. The protagonist leaves her ambition and follows her boyfriend to college only to get dumped by him after two months. She is distraught by such turn of events which also hampers her studies, to make things worse, after a frat party, she is sexually assaulted in the parking lot and thankfully, a mysterious stranger saves her from the sexual predator. When protagonist best friend learns about the sexual assault, she signs them up for self-defense classes.

I felt Tammara Webber handled such situation very well including element of romance and suspense making it a quintessential book.

When I read this book, it made me realize though the book comes in fiction category but the situation stressed in the book isn’t entirely fiction. Women face these scenarios at some point and being damsel in distress waiting for her knight in shining armor to rescue her doesn’t happen generally. One should learn to be self-reliant and be able to defend herself in whatever situation she is in.
