“Purpose is the clear intention for our time, talents, energy, and focus during our brief time on Earth.” - Gina Bianchini

As someone struggling to find or understand my purpose in life, this book came to me at the perfect time. I’ve read a number of ‘purpose-driven’ books and I can’t express how much of a breath of fresh air it was to stumble across a book that was not religion-based. Not only did it not focus on religion, but it also expressed having more than one purpose in life. I’ve never considered this, nor did the other books mention it being a possibility. That also led to not realizing or understanding that my purpose could be correlated with the season in my life at that moment.

I can say that “Purpose: Design a Community and Change Your Life” by Gina Bianchini is a compelling book that explores the power of building communities and finding purpose in today's digital age. Gina highlights how communities can provide individuals with a sense of belonging, support, and shared values. She emphasizes that in an increasingly connected world, cultivating meaningful connections and relationships is paramount. She provides insightful strategies on how to identify, connect, and engage with like-minded individuals to create and nurture vibrant communities that align with one's goals and passions.

I enjoyed the explanation of why having a clear purpose, unifying principles, and well-defined roles are essential for community success. She provided valuable tips on how to foster inclusivity, create a safe space for dialogue, and encourage meaningful collaborations within a community.

Overall I would rate this book a 4.5. I enjoyed the way the book was executed and I didn’t notice any grammatical errors. At times, the content felt slightly repetitive. Some concepts and ideas were reiterated throughout the chapters, which provided a sense of redundancy. However, in hindsight, this repetition could also serve as a reminder of the book's core principles and ensure that we, readers, fully internalize the concepts presented.

But, what would have made this book a perfect 5 is if it provided a workbook/ journal or provided space to write within the book. Gina provided many thought-provoking questions throughout the book and it would have been a little easier to have space to write. Other than that, the book was executed to perfection and I will read it again as well as recommend it to my friends and family.
