Losing a loved one could be very painful; it’s something no one wants to experience, and most times, those who lose their loved ones don’t remain the same. But then, we can’t control most things that happen around us. Grieving the loss of a loved one is important, but there are ways to grieve and still maintain our sanity. The book Healing the Broken Heart by Dee Walters is a fascinating book that takes on the journey of grieving and healing.

I started this book by understanding how peculiar grieving is. It is something that can be understood only by you because the love shared by the person is peculiar and individual. It is very normal to grieve the way you want to, as the process is not rigid but flexible. In this book, we were able to understand grieving from different perspectives, e.g., mothers, fathers, and even a single parent. Losing a loved one could trigger a lot of things and even affect our relationships with others. Most times, we begin to blame ourselves, which could lead to depression. Is there a right way to grieve? This is a question that was ringing in my head as I read this book. This book talked about a lot of things while also guiding us on the journey of our recovery. Get a copy of the book.

It's important that we don’t lose our sanity when grieving over the death of a loved one. I understand how difficult it is to comfort a grieving person. This book is not just educational; it’s also therapeutic. There are ways in which we can connect with the loved ones we lose while keeping our mental health intact. The author carefully explained them, and I was able to see a lot of sense in them. While I read this book, I felt so calm within me, and this was because of the author's writing style and the use of easy topics and subtopics. This book was free from ambiguity and could be a source of revival for those who are overwhelmed by the pain of losing a loved one.

I noticed that there was a lot of repetition in this book, e.g., in the part that talks about support and also finding healing. And I also came across one error. It was insignificant, and I can say that the book was properly edited. Finally, the book should have contained fewer pages if the pages were properly filled.

Following what has been said above, I will rate this book four out of five stars. I would recommend this book to those who are grieving and to therapists.

The reviewer did justice to this book. This book is like a guide to grieving. Having to lose a loved one is really tough and is something no one wants to experience but it is not avoidable. A good read.

Ultimately, we will all, if we haven't already, grieve a loved one. I guess learning to do so and pick up the pieces of our lives afterwards is necessary. A good review.

I agree with the term, grieving for a loved one is painful. What makes it even more difficult is the unsupportive people that we are surrounded with. I understand this topic very well and at the first stages of grieving, there has to be someone to help you prevail. Your review describes everything one can know. Great review, Jane!
