The Year of Living Biblically by A.J. Jacobs

So, I had to read this book before the start of my Freshman year of college to enter the Honors Program. It was a wonderful and eye opening read. I am Catholic, and I was going to attend a Jesuit University. I had never really been exposed to different beliefs or views of life, and boy was I in for an adventure. This book was a great way to start this journey. It made me realize that the Old Testament should not be taken literally because it is nearly impossible to in the current living situation of the world. A.J. Jacobs takes this challenge head on and does a very good job of describing his experience. This is a great read for all faiths and people in all stages of their faith journeys. It has humor and seriousness. It has harsh truths. I truly enjoyed reading this novel and highly recommend to everyone.
