“Mysteries Of the First Instant” is a remarkable book that approaches the beginning of everything that exists. Interestingly, the book takes you into an exploration of the origin of the universe, making attempts to discover common ground between religion and science. Perhaps the most controversial question it addresses is: Who created the universe to the highest degree of perfection?

In “Mysteries Of the First Instant,” authors Daniel Friedmann and Dania Sheldon study how the origin of the universe could have possibly transpired. Combining insights from the Bible, the Torah, and Kabbalah with current scientific investigation, this book attempts to help you see how creation brought into being space, time, the elementary particles, and the forces of nature. And if you happen to miss something, chapter 13 will be there to clarify and remove any doubts that you might have accumulated previously—a highlight not to be missed!

It’s clear that in “Mysteries Of the First Instant,” every effort possible has been made to appeal to a wide audience; in it, you’ll be amazed by scientific investigation and religion accounts not found anywhere else. Written in a conversational format between nephew and uncle, this book addresses numerous and enigmatic questions: Do you know what happens with time at the speed of light? How did time and space come to be? What existed before the universe came into being? What are the worlds of ‘tohu’ and ‘tikkun’? What are dark matter and dark energy? Do we live in a fine-tuned universe?

True to their professionalism, the authors have thoughtfully included a chapter of resources that lists relevant articles, informative videos, websites, and more. Although it’s clear that attempts have been made to produce an accessible read, the book presents a wealth of information that is occasionally mildly challenging. Possessing a very basic knowledge of physics will make your read an even more fun experience, but if you don’t have that, trust the comprehensive and engaging glossary that has it all; believe me, that glossary has everything.

I was truly impressed by the book's meticulous editing. Furthermore, if you are a reader with an appetite for an educational and thought-provoking adventure, you’re going to love this book. That being said, I enthusiastically give “Mysteries Of the First Instant” a well-deserved 5 out of 5 stars.
