Why God Allows Evil and Suffering is a thought provoking theological book penned by Sine Nomine. This book is centered on the question of why God allows His children to suffer from evil. It primarily explores Christian perspectives. It’s divided into two parts. In the first part, the author emphasizes key Christian beliefs: that God possesses all power, God offers unconditional love, and God is wise. However, it also acknowledges the presence of evil, suffering, and pain, which seemingly contradicts these earlier statements. The book highlights various partial answers offered by Christian scholars and philosophers, but acknowledges that no single statement can fully address the complexity of pain and suffering in a world created by a loving God.

In the second part of the book, the author defends God, providing reasoned explanations that address the questions raised in the first part. These explanations collectively offer insight into the complex question of why God permits evil and suffering. The book also presents the atheist perspective, addressing reasonable questions that may arise. Overall, it strengthens faith in God and offers hope to those experiencing pain and suffering.

What I appreciate about the book is its balanced approach, considering both atheists and theist ’ viewpoints. The author doesn’t blindly support one of them. He gives meaningful explanations for both of their points of view, draws parallels between them, and concludes with his own point of view. Additionally, the book promotes concepts of love, selflessness, and compassion for others.

There is nothing I dislike about the book. There is no profanity in the book and appears to be professionally edited and exceptional, as I couldn’t find any errors.

I give Why God Allows Evil and Suffering 5 out of 5 stars due to its error-free editing, detailed explanations, and the author’s excellent writing style. I highly recommend this book to those with faith in Christianity, seeking answers regarding the concepts of evil and suffering.
