It feels good to help people. This is a valuable eternal Truth. The book Niching Up by Chris Dreyer does the work of helping you to enter the exact project of your dream! Feeling good is the happiest state of mind that can be experienced by any person when he or she becomes a helping hand in the life of another person. How this is related to niching can be understood by reading the principles of niching given in the book. Author Chris Dreyer is the CEO and Founder of Rankings.io, an SEO agency. His company has the distinction of making the Inc. 5000 list five years in a row. Chris attributes this success in some way, to niching. He says that when you choose a niche, you’re choosing to have a reputation in that niche. When you niche, you truly specialize in your business field. He refers to the idiom " jack-of-all-trades, master of none!" When we niche, we change this to "Jack- of- many, master of one!" Chris has thoroughly discussed all the aspects of niching. He invites you along on his journey, to understand why he believes so deeply that, for most businesses, the niches hold your riches.

The introduction of the book starts with the 'Star Wars' anecdote. Mace Windu, played by the incomparable Samuel L. Jackson used a purple lightsaber in the Battle of Geonosis. Chris says that the purple lightsaber perfectly proves a fundamental truth of niching: when you do something that no one else is doing, you stand out. Niching up is a type of lean methodology where you exclude all other industries and just focus on one. He is brilliant at listing and evaluating the cons of niching in the very beginning. The book contains eight chapters, each one with a separate sub-topic. Awareness as the first advantage of niching, getting expertise, premium pricing for profitability in the business, conversion from prospect to client, relationship equity, and the importance of the referrals are effectively
discussed in these chapters. The concept of efficiency that ties all the pros of niching together is explained lastly.

The book Niching Up with its unique impressive narration has many positive aspects. The narrative moves at an excellent pace that keeps the reader fully engaged. The statements of the author show his perfect reading and study of the facts. For example, 'But they’re overestimating their abilities because they don’t have the actual knowledge.' 'Also, if you try to force yourself to do something you’re not good at, it’s going to be a drain.' '...but I’m not arrogant enough to believe that I know what’s best for every business.' I agreed and liked the following opinion of the author. 'Well, when you are an expert in a niche, you gain two of the primary motivators we, as humans, all share: wealth and status. The narrative is figurative, conversational, and very easy to understand. The metaphors used are marvelous.

I noticed no negative aspects in this book. However, I feel that the inclusion of a 'conclusion ' was not necessary.

The editing of the book is professional but not exceptional. There are some grammatical errors. However, considering the positive points stated above, I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I Recommend this book to all readers including business people as well as clients and consumers. The people willing to start a business project of their liking will benefit the most from this book. Those who are already in a business can also get very useful hints, techniques, and guidelines in this book.
