Review of Winning the War on Cancer
The battle against cancer may have existed even in the oldest civilizations. Despite our heartiest attempts to end this killer that claims thousands of lives yearly, we still battle cancer. The purpose of Winning the War on Cancer: The Epic Journey Toward a Natural Cure by Sylvie Beljanski is to educate readers about nature's gifts against cancer. Through this book, the author promotes the message that there is hope and details her father's groundbreaking discovery and his battle against the pharmaceutical industry's monopoly.
Sylvie Beljanski, daughter of an eminent scholar, Dr. Mirko Beljanski, talks about her father's accomplishments in herbal medicine and molecular biology in this book. We get to know how her father proposed a potent alternative cure for cancer that would've revolutionized our fight to find a cure. However, his research was discredited due to bureaucracy and the monopoly of the pharmaceutical community. Through this book, the author hopes to make people aware of her father's work and the Beljanski Foundation created to keep her father's legacy alive.
This well-written, well-researched book is incredibly educational. The author has used simple vocabulary to explain scientific descriptions, making it possible for all to understand the concepts. What I loved most was the inclusion of quotes at the beginning of each chapter that hinted at the topics covered. The book doesn't list the cures but rather infuses us with the hope that noninvasive techniques are capable of defeating cancer. The author encourages us to live a healthy lifestyle that prioritizes detoxification and avoiding toxins at all costs. It is commendable that the author is extremely clear about the book's purpose, which is to give us hope rather than to serve as a self-help manual.
There is nothing I dislike about this book. It earns a perfect rating of 5 out of 5 for being concise, well-written, and instructive. The citations to numerous significant research sources are helpful. Readers with a medical background should read this book to learn about this revolutionary finding and extend their perspectives.
