"Reconfigurement” by Alan Fleischauer is a book about planning for a well-suited career and a financially secure retirement. He has several assessments available to help you recognize your personality type. Once your personality type is determined, you can see your strengths and weaknesses, and you can choose a career more suited to your personality. His book also explains many aspects of planning for retirement and the necessity to do so. The tone of his book is one of humor even though the subjects discussed are serious.

He talks about the importance of budgeting, income protection, life insurance, and the many retirement options. He explains the Medicare plans available, the difference between Medicare and Medicaid, and supplemental health insurance needed when you are 65 years of age and older. He includes information on 401(k)s, Roth IRAs, and pension plans. He talks about index funds, bond funds, and municipal bonds. He explains the difference between T-notes and T-bills and the various types of annuities. He emphasizes the need for estate planning and preparing a will. He also explains different types of trusts.

His use of humor throughout the book keeps the reader engaged. His wit makes what might be a tedious read very entertaining. “Reconfiguement” was an easy read, very informative, and would be an asset to anyone trying to plan for financial security. He provides good information in a compact book sprinkled with jokes.

The editing of this book ensured minimal grammatical errors and no misspelled words. The book was a joy to read. I would recommend this book to friends, family, and anyone who wants to learn more about financial planning. I give this book a five out of five rating. It would be a great addition to one’s library. He offers a list of suggested books for continued education on retirement planning and on profitable work-at-home jobs.
