The topics of climate change and global warming are talked about so often that they have become redundant. Every conversation follows the same few pointers of CO2, melting ice, etc. The Heat Is On; A Call To Action: How To Overcome The Climate Emergency by Afzal (Al) Sovani brings an in-depth perspective to the same conversation. The book explores the reasons, possible solutions, past actions, and their effectiveness, all in detail. The author is an entrepreneur who believes that the same technology that has landed us in this crisis can also save us from it.

In a sea of literature about climate change, this book stands out for the brilliant research that went into it. The author covered each and every topic comprehensively. The author begins by exploring the reasons behind climate change. I liked the way that the author formatted information into pointers. Dividing information in this manner makes it more digestible and easy to follow.

When we talk of solutions, we often forget to look at the past. I enjoyed the fact that the author had mentioned some of the actions that were taken in the past and their results. The author not only lays down the problem but also provides realistic and implementable plans to solve this crisis.

There was nothing that I disliked about this book. The author managed to make such a grim topic interesting and hopeful. I would like to give The Heat Is On; A Call To Action: How To Overcome The Climate Emergency by Afzal (Al) Sovani 5 out of 5 stars. The book has done exceptionally well at its editing, as I could not find any grammatical errors, typos, or inaccuracies. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more about climate change, its causes, and effective ways to solve it. It provides an insightful and informational read about the topic at hand.
