Book review of Gina Bianchini's 'Purpose'
Gina Bianchini's purpose has three parts: find your purpose, turn your purpose into action, and take your purpose digital. The book is nonfiction that focuses on how one can find their purpose. It explains the importance of finding one's purpose and how the tools of the modern era are built to enable it.
Gina starts by explaining the power of purpose through her personal life experiences. She was born in Cupertino, California. Her grandparents had moved to Cupertino in 1950 to open a nursery to serve the orchids. Their purpose was to build up their new community to become a place of shared joy for all. The idea was to bring service and purpose to the lives of others through fundraising drives for eyeglasses, civic lessons, Christmas parties, and visits to the local convalescents' homes. When she was 11 years old, her father died in an accident. It was at this moment that the author realized the power of the community. National guards (late father's colleagues), church friends, children's musical theater friends, and high school teachers came through to support them. This motivated her to support the role she could play in others pursuit of purpose and community. Gina then explains in detail how, with the support of her co-founders, they launched Ning, a global platform for creating social networks. Its main purpose was to unlock a level of creativity, energy, enthusiasm, and connection. It became a success, with over 300,000 active users. Ning was later sold, and today it serves as a footnote for social software. She wanted to innovate how digital communities could work even better to help meet and build relationships with each other not just online but in real life too. Part 2 explains in detail how to turn your purpose into action, and Part 3 explains taking your purpose digital.
In conclusion, Gina is the true eye opener. She has explained everything perfectly through her own life experiences: finding your purpose, turning your purpose into action, and taking your purpose digital. It's a real-life-changing book with neither typing errors nor grammar mistakes. Its theme comes out clearly, and it has an amazing, flawless edition. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to realize their purpose in life.
