"Self Confidence for Tween Girls" by Marta Negron is a motivational book for teenagers to become confident. It begins with an introduction. Here, there’s a collaboration between the author and Lenora, a 12-year-old teen runway fashion model. Each tells a story from their own perspective.

I like that this collaboration with Lenora will make teens relate more to the contents of the book because they’ll be basically learning self-confidence tips and hacks from a teenager, with extras from the author herself. I learned about five tools for being confident, one of which is creativity. It’s necessary to express that creative part of us and find something one is passionate about. When this happens, we’ll see our confidence shine through.

I love the fashion illustrations used, as they help to tell the story better. In this book, she explains confidence in a way I haven’t thought of. There's a fashion mood board, which helps one find their unique style. Lenora divides fashion wear into nine categories, such as street wear, sport wear, and so on. I love this quote from the book: “Confidence also means accepting yourself for who you are and what you look like”. Again, I learned that having an outgoing personality doesn’t necessarily translate to being confident. I like how the readers are alerted when there’s a switch from Martha to Lenora and vice versa. The role positive body language plays is important because it boosts body language.

I didn’t find anything to dislike in this book. The collaborators used easy language to explain things in a comprehensive manner. There were no errors found in the book.

I rate this 5 out of 5 stars, as there’s no justification to deduct any points. This book is recommended to female teens and adults who seek to boost their self confidence because there are lots of valuable lessons to learn.

Confidence in teenagers is good. But learning confidence from a runaway 12-year-old model? I don't know if that's good or not. Still, I'm curious about her. I'd like to learn her story.

This book sounds like an interesting read about a teenage runway model. I think this book is better suited for teenagers who seek to gain confidence in both their looks and walk.

Like the reviewer rightly said, the book is meant for teenagers. Although, some adults who lack confidence can use it as a boost.
