Niching Up by Chris Dryer is a positive, easy to understand read that is full of information about the world of niching. Using a mix of his own experience as well as taking examples from pop culture, Chris tells you everything you need to know if you ever decide to niche. He laid down everything, including the pros and cons, the big question of whether or not you should do it, and what actions you should take even after you’ve established your niche.

This is an easy and interesting read, and I enjoyed this more than I thought. One of my favorite things about this book is the use of pop culture. I think most people in general will understand things better when something is relatable to them or is widely known slipped inside, and Chris does a wonderful job in connecting the pop culture he participates in and his messages to the audience. He sums up what he wants to say in a clear and concise way to the point that those who aren’t familiar with the pop culture he’s referring to can still understand the message he wants to get across. Another thing I like is how the disadvantages of niching are explained at the beginning. Chris understands that niche might not be for everyone, and putting disadvantages at the start serves as some sort of ‘test’ for those considering a niche. It feels like Chris himself is asking if the reader is truly ready to take this next step even after knowing all the disadvantages so early. There’s nothing I don’t like about this book. The editing is flawless and I found no grammatical errors.

I’m giving this book 5/5. I think a lot of people will enjoy reading this book, whether or not they decide to choose a niche or whether they are a business owner or not. To those who are considering a niche, this book will tell them everything they need to know, and for those who aren’t, this book is a nice and perfect introduction to the world of niching.
