Finding a book of this nature that had no ambiguity and was easy to understand was an exhilarating experience. I knew this would be a brilliant read when I first came across the book title. It had gripping and impactful narrative .The author has talked about the facts about God’s nature that we all have thought about at some point in our life but maybe never got the absolute answers.
As the book started it seemed that the author was trying to comprehend the fact that if God is all loving and powerful then how he can endure his people’s sufferings and evil doings. To get his curiosity down the author has quoted sayings of other philosophers, the experiences of religious preachers and verses from holy book. He talked about natural disasters, free will of humans, justice before love, the equations of relationships and woven them wonderfully with God's attributes.
This book has two parts in part 1 there are four divine characters of god that are; God is all powerful, all loving, all just and all wise. I particularly enjoyed the part God is all powerful because the way writer tried to make us get his point with remarkable examples like at one place he said that we all have the power to do good and bad, it’s our own will if we are choosing to be honest or dishonest really touched me. I was led to believe that the author had perfect command and knowledge of the subject matter he was elaborating on in his writing because of the manner he posed questions and then in part 2 he concluded his responses with absolute arguments from Genesis was remarkable. In part 2 he compared materials and morals, wonderfully explained the phenomenon of time, space and matter and then described how humanity shares in likeness of god through mankind’s ability to love, as well as through man’s power to rule over other creatures.
I felt that this topic was not very easy to write because this is a sensitive topic and you can’t just write what you have in your mind without having deep, solid and accurate information from all the reliable resources.
I am giving this book 4 stars due to some editing issues otherwise there wasn’t anything to dislike about this book. The writing style was unique, and the word choice was good. I would recommend this book to those who seek answers about God’s attributes and who have curiosity about why this world is not all good.
“Even though every person enters into existence innocent of crime and misdeed, suffering and death are ultimate fate of all” (page 62)
