This book offers a concrete path to crystallizing your purpose and turning it into the most rewarding and impactful actions you can take in modern life, it explores what it means to have a clear, positive purpose and intention for our time, talents, energy, and focus during our brief time on planet Earth. It recognizes that your purpose is not uniquely yours neither is it a solo endeavor thus the best thing one can do is to build a community to support and amplify the purpose. It also considers the power of technology in harnessing purpose.
The author takes us through a journey of discovering purpose with an example of how she discovered hers from the first community of family to various work communities and how she grew into her purpose through the technological shifts that occurred in her neighborhood of California, the home of Apple where dot com boom arose and transitioned into social networking to social media and then discovering community modelling and design to harness purpose
Then she goes on to discuss purpose in modern life defining life as a journey of purpose, a series of challenges, opportunities for growth and learning and communities to help us every step of the way citing the theory of Joseph Campbell of one story shared by different cultures and tribes around the world
This book also contains ways of how to define your future story as your new campus direction in life and how to turn it into action through community and digital technology and how to utilize community and technology to move from primarily a hero to host and thrive ultimately. Such a wonderful read!
