Review of Snatched Up to Heaven!
A Christian belief in life after death provides a beautiful backdrop for this book. Paul and Jemima share the stories of their children's vivid experiences in Heaven and Hell, which manifest as dreams and visions. Motivated by their newfound love of faith in Christianity and salvation, Jemima compares the experiences to Biblical teachings and offers her personal interpretations. Although it may be tempting to dismiss a child's understanding of such complex matters, the accounts from these children are extraordinary and captivating, leaving you yearning for more. If you desire fresh insights into what awaits us after death, I encourage you to get a copy of this book.
In my perspective, this book effectively tests our understanding of the Bible, Christianity, and our knowledge about the afterlife. Jemima's extensive understanding of the Bible serves as an inspiration for us to delve deeper into its teachings. While we are accustomed to the same repetitive information about Heaven, such as who resides there and what it looks like, the children's dreams introduce us to a whole new knowledge. It appears that our actions and behaviors on Earth including our preferences, foreshadow our future lives in Heaven. I will let you find out how.
The authors discuss not only the land of the righteous but also the possibility of Hell as a destination after death. The terrifying descriptions of Hell according to Priyanka and Deepika, leave one hesitant to even contemplate it. In the second section of the book, Jemima elaborates on the relationship between God and the inhabitants of Hell. The following questions arise: Does God care for the people in Hell? Does He truly love them? Furthermore, why would God dismiss their repentance and pleas to end their agonizing pains? This fascinating relationship is worth further exploration by the reader!
There are several noteworthy positives about this book. Firstly, it possesses a unique ability to captivate and resonate with both adults and children. Secondly, the deliberate choice to preserve the authenticity of the children's dreams and visions by refraining from any alterations amplifies the genuine nature of the book. Thirdly, the inclusion of the children's colorful drawings and letters not only captures the attention of young readers but also adds credibility to the book. Lastly, Jemima's commendable effort in interpreting the children's dreams and visions through the lens of Bible references greatly contributes to a deeper understanding of the Bible.
The editing team did a commendable job, as I did not encounter any errors while reading this book. There is nothing that I dislike about this book, therefore it deserves a perfect rating. I hereby rate this book five out of five stars because of the positives I have mentioned above. I recommend it to Christian parents and children between the ages of two and ten years.
