Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischaeur is a non-fiction book aimed at the older generation who are considering retirement. He delivers a guide full of relevant information that aims to divert the older population into a successful retirement. He believes that planning ahead is the right step forward to making sure their upcoming retirement can be enjoyed thoroughly.

The book is based on planning ahead and how easy life would be if we planned ahead of time. He includes information that has the power to evaluate your life goals and all the things you wish to achieve and complete, a little like a bucket list of sorts! The author provides a background of his life and how important he felt it was to plan ahead of time so that it was easy for him to know what he wanted to achieve. He gives details of his own opinions and highlights them in the hope that you come to the realisation that planning ahead is the right thing to do. In the middle of the book, the writer states “40 years old and 50 years old is a much better position to configure life”. This quote hit me because it suggests that it is never too late to re-evaluate your life and think of all the things you’ve achieved and what you want to achieve once you have retired. Life is precious and by planning ahead you can choose what you intend to spend your life doing and who with.

E. Alan Fleiuschaeur has written an informative book about retirement and the importance of planning ahead which can lead to an exciting future. I liked how the author included his own opinions within the book. This is a great way to capture the readers' attention. Also, I like how the author has included quotes in many parts of the book, which also enhances the attention of the readers. I like how he used stories to help develop his points in more detail by delivering context. The words used within the book are simplified, which makes it easy for all audiences to understand what he is trying to say. The book is full of jokes which in turn make readers laugh and enjoy their reading.

This book has made me laugh and smile! I’ve absolutely loved reading this book. It really has given me a lot of food for thought. There is not one thing I would change about the book as a whole. I believe that it will be enjoyed by all. I am happy to give the rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I am giving a high rating because of how the book has made me feel. It does not appear to have any grammatical errors. Therefore, it is professionally edited.

I recommend this book to the audience of the older generation who are close to retirement. Also, it may appeal to individuals who take an interest in retirement and planning ahead.

This book is unique to me. It is one of the very few financial advising authors that talked about retirement. It jolted me to the reality that I won't remain in my prime forever. So I will do my best to apply the suggestions given in this book on how to plan for retirement.
