The Universal Call: A Journey to Consciousness by Fatima El-Hindi draws inspiration from Islam, particularly the holy Qur'an, with its central theme revolving around self-awareness. This self-awareness is achieved through three key principles: accountability, acceptance, and appreciation, which the author believes are solutions to problems that people usually face. Notably, the author emphasizes the supremacy of God by citing the faith demonstrated by Abraham as an example.

One of the standout aspects of the book is the author's ability to explain Islamic teachings without denigrating other religions, allowing readers to form their own opinions based on the presented facts.

The foreword is utterly intriguing. It was well written in that I noticed it started with highlighting problems that I experience and also a large percentage of society do experience. After this, there is a promise of being able to learn from the book the solution to these challenges in life and lifestyle.

I liked the idea that humans need to learn to show gratitude for everything. It resonated with me. The constant reminder by the author that it is by sharing her life experiences that we, as readers, will be able to easily relate is positive to the book's reading experiences. This felt effective in removing boredom. The author's approach to presenting facts, whether from the Qur'an or scientific journals, is well-researched and easily understandable, lending credibility to the book.

The Universal Call: A Journey to Consciousness" earns a rating of five out of five stars. This rating is justified by the aforementioned pros and the fact that there was nothing that I disliked. It was an amazing non-fiction read. The book is professionally edited, as I only spotted a single error.

I gladly recommend The Universal Call: A Journey to Consciousness to those seeking enlightenment on Islam. Still, anyone interested in developing peace within themselves can equally benefit.
