Whether one is Christian or not, the question that most people have, if not all, is: Why does God allow Evil and Suffering? In summary, the book reconciles the existence of an all-loving and all-powerful God with the evil and suffering in our world by presenting a new solution to an ancient problem and giving a comprehensive answer to the question of evil.

The introduction thoroughly explains and points out shortcomings of popular and academic responses to the problem of evil and suffering, namely confusion over the precise meaning of the word evil, misuse of free will, positive spiritual growth or character development, natural disaster, and disease.

Note: The book discusses core Christian precepts that draw upon insight and analysis from Protestant and Catholic thinkers, but the argument for the new solution to the question of evil is more aligned with the theology of the Catholic Church.

The new solution redefines the problem of pain and evil to consider four divine attributes: God is all-powerful, God is all-loving, God is all-just, and God is all-wise. The book gives a detailed examination of the four character traits. In addition, the book assumes that God, in his wisdom, prioritizes love over other considerations. This assumption that love is the principal purpose of human existence is based on biblical doctrine (Matthew 22:34-40) and supported by peer-reviewed studies: the studies establish the importance of friendship and love to human happiness.

The following Christian doctrines are analyzed and interpreted to give an extensive answer to the question of evil, including but not limited to the creation and nature of humanity (Genesis 1-3), the trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), and salvation.

I didn’t observe any typos or grammar errors. A job well done on the editing! Using real-life scenarios makes the concepts relatable and easier to understand. The incorporation of thought-provoking questions kept me interested. I have nothing negative to say regarding the book, just a suggestion to add a glossary to make content-specific words easily accessible to the reader.

The book gives a well-rounded answer to the problem of evil and God's character. The use of real-life scenarios makes the concepts relatable and easier to understand. The incorporation of thought-provoking questions kept me interested. Overall, I enjoyed reading the content of the book, and I also found the subject matter of the book intriguing. I would recommend this book to my friends and family. Given the above reasons, I will rate the book five stars out of five.
