A Dream for Peace, written by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, serves as a memoir chronicling his life journey from childhood to becoming a renowned diplomat. Dr. Ghoulem is a multifaceted individual, encompassing roles as a freedom fighter, scientist, doctor, diplomat, ambassador, patriot, and much more. His profound influence is evident in every field he has ventured into.

Dr. Ghoulem was born in a town in Algeria and was raised by his foster mother. He received the finest education in some of the most prestigious educational institutions. During his upbringing, Algeria was under French colonization, leading to the infusion of French culture into the region. While pursuing his medical studies in France, Dr. Ghoulem, along with many other Algerian students, encountered discrimination from the French population. In response, he initiated a fight against this injustice and played a pivotal role in co-founding the Association of North African Muslim Students.

From that point, Dr. Ghoulem’s life took various turns. He earned his Ph.D. and became a scientist, served as a soldier, and worked as a political diplomat appointed by the President. In his book, Dr. Ghoulem candidly discussed his relationships and his three marriages. He traveled to different countries, providing his services in various fields. Dr. Ghoulem made earnest efforts to resolve conflicts between Israel and Palestine and dedicated himself to the pursuit of peace in Africa. To learn more about the events that unfolded in Dr. Ghoulem’s life, one should read A Dream for Peace.

I greatly appreciate A Dream for Peace. Dr. Ghoulem’s life imparts valuable lessons, showcasing an inspiring journey of excellence across multiple fields. Emulating his patriotism is commendable. The inclusion of pictures in the book enhances reader engagement. Lastly, the author’s writing style is superb.

There is nothing I dislike about the book. It is error-free and exceptionally well-edited, highlighting the author’s flawless writing. The book contains no profanity or erotic scenes, although it does include some instances of violence.

I give the book 5 out of 5 stars for its highly inspirational content and the engaging portrayal of the author’s life. I highly recommend this book to people who love to read history and political backdrop books.
