Review of Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book
Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book by Kalliope Barlis is designed for golfers to help them better their game. The author aims to make golf a pleasurable experience for golfers while they play or practice. The focus of this book is not on the mechanics of the sport, but on revealing the secrets that make one a great golfer. Barlis argues that players should spend more on their game rather than spending excessively on golf equipment.
This is an extremely short book. It is meant to be read as a dose of inspiration before beginning practice. The author recommends that golfers read it every day for 21 days so that their brains get wired with the message in this book. In a way, the author has tried to use NLP techniques to help golfers become more aware of their techniques and develop a winning mindset.
What I loved the most about the book was that it was short and effective. The author is extremely precise and her experience is evident in the book. I thought that even though the book is meant for golfers, the general methods for improving a game could be applied to any sport. The author has carefully designed this book to help readers upgrade how they think about their game.
There was nothing that I disliked about the book. It is professionally edited. There are no grammatical issues. The author has structured the book quite effectively. At the end of the book, she provides details of some golfing techniques along with diagrams. I could not understand them because I have never played golf, but those who play would benefit a lot by reading this book. I would rate the book 5 out of 5 stars.
I recommend this book to readers who want to get better at playing golf. People who are just beginning to learn will find this book most useful. People who play other sports can read this book as well to understand how NLP techniques work.
