Planning for retirement and budgeting are two things on many people's minds but are usually very hard to implement. This can be anyone's goal, but going through with this plan may prove difficult due to a lack of proper guidance or motivation. This makes Reconfigurement the perfect book to read on matters concerning this topic.

Reconfigurement by Alan E. Fleischauer tackles matters of planning ahead for retirement and other issues concerning money. The major introduction to the topic is securing your income. This also includes talking about issues concerning 401k and Medicare. Being a financial advisor for more than 20 years, he has put together advice that will help anyone who reads the book on financial freedom, retirement, and one of the favorites I learned—budgeting. He also answers a couple of questions on investing. It is interesting how the author also includes the topic of career choices in this book.

I appreciate the author's effort in putting together an entertainment finance book. Going to great lengths to research jokes and crediting the original jokes with their references. The overall book was enjoyable, coupled with the hypothetical scenarios with diverse characters like Joe and Ed and different stories to explain the concepts in the book. The author understood that many people fail to fully go through some finance books due to monotony and ensured an entertaining read.

Furthermore, the art of presenting this concept using relatable examples is used to bind the reader to the content. It is easier to see where one went wrong and correct it. An example is someone who has a 401(k) account but makes no effort to put in any savings. It also helps to understand why the concepts being addressed are unique and beneficial.

I rate Reconfigurement by Alan E. Fleischauer 5 out of 5 stars. I love the concept of planning early for retirement and the engaging and cheerful presentation. However, the author has mentioned how useful this book will be for individuals in America, and I think this should be fully mentioned in the description. This does not deter one from reading the book but makes people from different continents understand that although the book addresses vital topics, it may not end up working for them. Otherwise, the editing and writing style were perfect and there is no significant negative to the book.

I recommend this book to all who would love to benefit from a reasonable salary plan and would love to be financially stable in old age. It's an interesting book that is also engaging, and although it may not work for everyone, a thing or two will be learned.

The book's focus on creating a solid financial foundation in your forties and fifties is a key takeaway for readers looking to secure their future.
