Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is written to address the chasm between reality and tradition and to provide the missing piece of the equation in retirement. The book is about planning; it starts with questions on retirement, the necessary research, and the pathways. Retirement planning is paramount in our work lives. Crises are viewed differently in different cultures. China has two characters in the symbol of crises; one stands for danger or pain, and the other stands for opportunity. We have to see the opportunity and not the pain.

The book opens the reader to the need to reconfigure their financial planning. It starts with having an income. Your most important asset is your ability to make an income. Income protection plans like group disability and individual disability insurance policies are necessary for sustainability. The book provided assessment websites for the reader to reconfigure their lives.

The investment money-guide software discusses the issues and challenges of retirement planning. It states the importance of life insurance and annuities, the importance of the Social Security program, Social Security benefits, spouse benefits and survivor benefits, investment choices, Medicare and Medicaid, insurance companies and long-term care, and will and trust. The information is a positive aspect of the book. I like the book title; it states all the book stands for.

The book examines the retirement package. I do not dislike the book. There are no negative aspects to the book. The book editing is flawless. I rate the book Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer 5 out of 5 stars. The reasons for my rating are above.

I recommend the book to retirement firms. Older citizens will find the book helpful. The children of elderly parents will find the book valuable. I recommend the book to employers and employees.
