In the book Why God Allows Evil and Suffering by Sine Nomine, the author delves into the challenging issue of the existence of evil and suffering in a world where Christians believe in an all-loving and all-powerful God. This question has been a subject of contemplation for many, and the author shines a light on it, along with its related inquiries, while also examining the limitations to answers provided by those who believe in this God.

The author approaches this profound question by considering God's attributes, especially His justice, which sets the boundaries for the exercise of His power. The central theme in the book is that the purpose of creation is rooted in love, and this love takes various forms. To allow humanity to experience the full spectrum of this love, God chose not to obliterate humanity when we fell into a sinful reality, despite the fact that human sin brought about evil and suffering. The author emphasizes that certain prerequisites of love inevitably lead to specific occurrences.

There are several aspects of this book that I admire. It is evident from the beginning that the author has crafted this work with a broad audience in mind, explaining concepts in an accessible manner for readers who may not be familiar with religious terminology. The repetition of key points serves to ensure clear comprehension, which, in turn, aids in understanding subsequent chapters. The book is thoughtfully organized, with earlier chapters laying the foundation for what follows. The author's extensive use of references, including passages from the Holy Bible and the writings of other theists, reflects a deep commitment to research and study, enriching the text. Additionally, the author's use of plain language and conventional words enhances the reader's experience.

There is nothing in this book that I dislike. This book was exceptionally well-edited, as I did not come across any errors while reading it.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for the aforementioned reasons. I highly recommend it to readers seeking insightful answers to profound questions about God and the existence of pain, evil, suffering, and death.
