Nine Months by Tania Tomyn
"Dogs supply unconditional love. Humans need to make the effort." Page 9
Nine Months by Tania Tomyn is a story of a loving family that includes two cute dogs (later many others), Hank, Wilbur and their loving parent.
The book celebrates Wilbur alias Willy's journey as well as the journey of a mother who pours her affection into her dogs and treats them as her children, providing all the love and care that they need to survive. When every hope to become a parent dies after their recurrent visits from the fertility centre to adoptation home, they do not give up hope.
They are the best couple ever to fight every situation with a positive vibe. They adopt dogs as their sons and keep no stone unturned to keep them safe and healthy.
"June 20, something did happen. We adopted our "baby", and his name was Wilbur." Page 15
This is a story of a strong emotional bond shared between humans and animals. The story is intense and resonant with the pulsating affection that a mother can feel for her child. You can grant the book as a poignant example of interspecies love that transcends the general relationship quotient of the human-canine equation.
I picked up the book attracted by the unique cover image, displaying a human hand stretching out and a canine paw straightening to touch it.
Tania and Aaron adopted Wilbur alias Willy, who was rescued from the streets of Pasadena with a severe eye injury. Becky, one of Tania's friends donated money for Willy's treatment and referred him to Tania as she already had the same type of dog.
But accepting Wilbur was not so easy with his continuous snorting that spoiled sleep and disturbed everyone. On the verge of frustration, it was found that Wilber had 'degenerative heart disease, a chronic degeneration of the valves on the left and right sides of the heart." Page 34
After the operation, it was hoped that Wilber's horrible snoring would be normal. But then it was found that his nostrils needed to be operated to stop that snoring. Would Wilber finally be cured of his snoring problem? What greater problem is waiting for Wilbur? Will he survive?
"Nine Months" by Tania Tomyn is an emotional journey. Each chapter is marked with a month, under the title of which different incidents circulating Willbur's life are described. Every month of this "Nine Months" is emotionally packed. It is a wonderful journey on my part flipping this book. I have no grievance against the book. It is professionally edited without any typos. The language is lucid and easy to understand. Within a very short periphery, the author encompasses Willy'slife journey as a member of their family.
I recommend this book to those who treat their pet members as one of their family members. This book also provides an example of how we should treat animals. The author accepts challenges to give her dogs well accommodation, security and sound health. I rate the book 5 out of 5. Unconditional human love for their pet dogs is the interior design of this book.
Though the book focuses on the life of Willy there were many other dogs Flash, Willy, Snoopy, and Charlie. And there are promises for many Willys: "We will continue to help dogs in need and encourage others to rescue too! Always." This hope lingers through the heart of the book. There is a journal at the end of the book to keep note of the favourite ones we have lost in our lives and those memories. There are numerous images inscribed amidst the pages of the book making it more lively and adorable.
