In the current times, autism is one of the major disorders that is affecting the lives of many children as well as adults. This book is a self-help book which focuses on the emotional aspects of a child suffering from autism. The writer Norio Ando has done a great job in providing the useful information for anyone who would have to deal with a child suffering from autism on a regular basis.

The book is divided into several chapters with each chapter focusing on a single aspect of emotion. Emotional Cure for Autism starts with how emotions occur naturally in every human being thus helping the reader to differentiate from the very beginning as to why an autistic child is behaving the way he is. The first chapter does the job of grabbing the reader’s curiosity through the way different emotional states have been described.

The next chapter talks about functions of emotions from infancy to as the child grows. This is then separated by another chapter in which the author entirely focuses on the emotions of a child suffering from autism. Different pleasure states have been identified in this book and the explanations make it for any layman to understand what the author is really talking about. I would call this book a complete guide to understanding children suffering from autism.

One of the things that I really liked about the book was that it has got treatment methods followed by proper explanations as to how it can be conducted. The treatments described are not just for the professionals but is also for the parents. Parents can apply them at home thus allowing them to have a pleasant experience with their children. The topics in the Emotional Cure for Autism have been organised well making it easier for the reader to understand the information provided. I wasn’t able to find anything disappointing in the book.

Emotional Cure for Autism deserves a rating of 4 out of 4 stars because it has all the aspects of autism covered. I’d recommend this book to parents whose child is suffering from autism. Those teachers who have to deal with an autistic child every day at school should also read this book in order to make the most of their teaching time. This is also an extremely helpful book for people who are interested in knowing more about what children go through when they are suffering from autism.

A self-help book revolving around methods to improve autistic behaviors sounds helpful. Using emotions to achieve that goal seems like a good method. It is good that the author explains her treatment methods and gives examples. That the book is well organized is another bonus. Not for me, but it does seem like a good book for those interested in the subject. Thank you for the review!

I hope this book is helpful for all the families that deal with this problem. The truth is, we all experience emotions, so it makes a lot of sense to understand how these emotions work in persons with autism and how they can be helped.

Emotional Cure For Autism sounds like a very interesting and useful book. Promoting relaxed emotions in autistic children is quite intriguing.

Thanks for your review.

This topic of Autism being an emotional problem is new to me. I thought Autism was a neurological problem with psychological and physical symptoms.

You have peaked my interest. I did't get to the part in the first chapter where the author describes the emotional states. I will look for it, because so far this book seems very unscientific.

Thanks for this review.
I have the first words of the preface and have really made me almost to weep.
Masao was 1 year and 7 months old when I first met him. His mother was very anxious about him, because he did not speak at all and moreover he did not look at her even when she called him. He displayed pleasure when being picked up and swung by her.
It is a story for sure that can interest many. Autism is affecting us either directly or indirectly especially for those people with autistic children.

Emotional Cure for autism by Norio Ando is a self-help book about autism in children and adults and how they behave emotionally. This would be a great help for the parents of the children and teachers as these persons deal with autistic children.

Norio Ando has done a great job by providing details about the emotional aspects of autism and this book also tells the treatment method for the children affected by autism.

Being in the health sector, I have seen many Autistic children and the agony that their parents undergo. In the treatment, involvement of parents is really important. So, for parents, this sort of a book is really important to understand what is actually expected from them. This is written by a clinical psycologist so, it has a massive importance and clinical value. Thanks for the descriptive review and congratulations on being BOTD

An informative book that is worth reading because you will never know when you will have the experience of dealing with them. As for me, I will read this book so that I may understand them more.

Good review! And Yes, as a mom of a 13.3 autistic child, I attest to "elicit relaxed pleasure". The suggested methods simply work. Therefore, I highly recommend these emotional techniques to special needs as well as average age children. Best wishes to the author on the #BOTD and thanks for the free read! 😶

This isn't the kind of thing I'm interested in reading, but I'll definitely add it to my list of books to recommend when the situation calls for it. Sounds very informative and easy to understand. Thanks for your review!
