Winning the War on Cancer: The Epic Journey Towards a Natural Cure by Sylvie Beljanski is a book that explains the natural ways of fighting diseases like cancer, HIV, herpes, tumors, and others diseases as critically examined in the book. Mirko Beljanski is a biologist-biochemist who set out to discover how to kill cancer cells using two main anti-cancer botanicals called Pao pereira and Rauwolfia vomitoria. The research yielded many results. The medicine they created was proven effective in reducing cancer cell reproduction and promoting patient well-being. The natural medication produced from these anti-cancer botanicals is not only effective in one type of cancer cell but is also effective in prostate cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and pancreatic cancer. Not only does it prove effective in cancer cells, but it also works through DNA and can be applied to both genders.

The book starts with Finding My Voice, where it discusses how the father started his research work and how it transformed the meaning of life with a high promise to cancer patients. Amidst the joy and happiness that preceded the discovery, the French government destroyed and seized all of Beljanski's research material and arrested him with scores of doctors who were either associated with him or working directly with him. These may prove to be the turning points for the Beljanski family.

The story changed immediately; with no sample, research material, equipment, or raw material, the operations halted. These situations later allowed the creation of the Center for Information of Research and Scientific Innovation and the Beljanski Foundation. The Beljanski Foundation went on to conduct a symposium that created awareness of the research and caused other researchers to conduct extensive research. Research by the Department of Holistic Urology at Columbia University is one of the first to adopt the findings of Beljanski.

The book is a great learning piece. I like the writing style; it is well-suited for readers. The title of the book is the positive aspect of the book. The book not only presents medical information but also proven research results.

I do not dislike the book. The author created an emotional environment when the Brazilian government came to seize the raw material; I was grateful for the alternative. There are no negative aspects to the book. The editing is flawless. I rate the book Winning the War on Cancer: The Epic Journey Towards a Natural Cure by Sylvie Beljanski 5 out of 5 stars. The reasons for my rating are above.

I recommend the book to medical researchers. I recommend the book to scientists. Government agencies saddled with the duty to provide adequate medical care will learn from the book. I recommend the book to teachers of medicine. Medical students will find the book helpful.
