I have come to realise that in our world today, the rate of self-hatred keeps increasing daily, and this is the bedrock for suicidal thoughts, depression, etc. The social media platforms are not helping matters; everyone wants to be like those they see on their media and blame themselves when they fail to get to their level. These are huge errors, and equipping ourselves with the book Magical ME by Dr Mariette Jansen would help us correct those errors and bring out the beautiful part of ourselves.

Most times, we treat ourselves badly without even recognising the damage it will have on us. Having a good relationship with ourselves is key to having an amazing life. This book comes in two sections: the first talks about ten thoughts that block the progress of your BFF relationship, and the second talks about the tools that support the development of your BFF relationship with yourself. The first part of this book is very valuable as it has to do with the realisation of this blockage that hinders us from creating a good relationship with ourselves, and these are things that we most often overlook. What are they, and how can we deal with them? Grab a copy to find out.

I am delighted to have come across this book. Lately, I have a very good friend of mine who is battling with very low self-esteem, and to be honest, I don’t know how to talk to him about it as I haven’t experienced it before. This book would go a long way towards reshaping his mindset. It's also amazing that the book is really practical. I also want to applaud the author's approach to writing this book; the practical part of this book makes it stand out from other books of this nature. I also loved how the author gave the illustration; for instance, how she explained the difference between observation, judgement, and opinion; it was so clear. This kind of illustration was also used in other parts of the book, which made it easy.

The number of pages in this book would have been reduced if the pages were maximised, as there were lots of blank pages, and this was the only thing I noticed. Aside from that, the book deserves five out of five stars as it contains no errors, showing it was properly edited. I would recommend this book to lovers of self-help books and therapists.

This made me want to read this book. In today's world, we have access to loads of information, including how everyone else is doing. This opens up a channel for mindless comparisons that can be damaging to one's esteem. Thank you for the wonderful review.

Yeah this book discussed a sensitive topic. Am glad to have read this book and I wish teens and youth would read it also.
