Karmic Selling by Stan Gwizdak is a short book about how to live and interact authentically with people in a manner that will be personally or financially rewarding. Most of this book is about being a successful salesperson in the corporate world, based on the author's many years of trial-and-error experiences. The author's experience working in the corporate world, rife with competitiveness and emotionally void interactions, prompted him to seek a new philosophy for work and sales. His approach, which he dubbed Karmic Selling or the However-I-Can-Help method, is based on approaching personal and professional interactions by being authentic, showing genuine interest in people, and always seeking ways to help them. When people see that you care about them and not just their money, they open up to you; some may become good friends and purchase the product you want to sell; you may get referrals for further businesses and much more. In any case, your reward waits for you in the future, according to the principles of karma.

I liked the many actionable steps of the However-I-Can-Help method, such as how you should behave during your first meeting with a client, what cues to pay attention to, taking notes, and securing future meetings until you conclude a deal. Many passages of this book resonated with me, like when the author acknowledged that even when you choose to be authentic and willing to help, not everyone will believe you are real. This doubt can be disheartening at first, but the author advises us to focus on those who are willing to listen and believe in us and to keep being authentic because success may not be around the corner but will eventually come, sometimes years down the road.

I rate this book five stars out of five. I liked the many easy-to-apply steps detailed in this book, such as how to behave during client meetings and the included note-taking template. I also loved the featured testimonies and case studies of those who reaped the benefits of this method. There is nothing negative I have to say about this book. This book is well-edited, with no instances of sexual content. There are multiple instances of profanity in this book, including non-borderline profanity. There is a passage where the author describes the scene of a car accident he had, but this description is not detailed. I recommend this book to readers of all religions.
