Review of Karmic Selling
Karmic Selling by Stan Gwizdak
'Earning business by earning trust' is the slogan of this book. The author has discussed the strategies of earning trust in the marketing web in such an elaborate and comprehensive way, that can be beneficial for both the seller and the buyer. Selling does not mean swindling someone to buy a cheap product at a high price. There is no credit or potentiality in it. Connecting with people truthfully is the basis of the marketing world. The author shares his own life experience. Practical life references help the readers to understand the situation better and make the most out of it. Career or business whatever you call it, is based on trust. Building trust is not the only step towards 'karmic selling' but one should have the patience to keep that trust even when the situation goes against him.
He talks about other issues like the importance of the first meeting. The first meeting means the first impression. Your first appearance earns your creditability. He also provides some case studies against his opinions to bolster his theory. Talking with people and knowing their needs are the cornerstones for building rapport. Firstly be a friend and then be a salesman.
Stan Gwizdak’s book is a practical guide to his readers as he shares his own experience, own life journey, ups and downs, and how he gave up the rat race of the corporate world. And build his world of trust and help. He believes in doing good to others. How small acts of help and kindness return an enormous amount of happiness to one.
After reading the book you will be able to build a clear concept regarding sales and business and your roles if you want to make a mark in this arena. ‘Karmic selling’ is an amalgamation of several concepts taken from Hinduism and Buddhism and modifying them in the present context.
The author has explained his messages through points, stories, and examples. He step by step takes his reader on the path of ‘karmic selling’ and at every step he guides us with bullet points and case studies. He also advises us on what to do and what not to do if someone is defensive or dithering in contracting signs. Things may not go as you plan always.
I like the use of the term ‘alligator arm’ in the context of marketing. The importance of patience concerning basic human protectionism is well acknowledged.
This book reminds me of “Unfakeable Code” by Jeton Selimi. In the course of selling, we must be authentic, as we must be truthful to our original selves in our practical lives.
There is nothing I dislike about this book. The book is a helpful guide in the world of marketing, based on authenticity and truthfulness. I rate the book 5 out of 5. Anyone interested in marketing and selling must go through this book. This will help one to understand better how to deal with the business world with authenticity and wisdom. The editing is praiseworthy. I didn't find a single typo here.
