Many people get so wrapped up in their work that they overlook crucial aspects of life, such as future planning. In his book Reconfigurement, E. Alan Fleischauer informs readers of the significance of preparing for retirement, as it is an important aspect of the future of anyone who is working. Fleischauer emphasizes the importance of planning and provides insights on how to initiate the process. With his experience as a financial advisor, he thoroughly analyzed and educated readers on the drawbacks of neglecting this aspect and offered practical steps to help readers navigate the planning journey.

I loved that this book tackled one of the most crucial issues in today's society. Prior to picking up this book, the concept of life post-retirement was not on my radar, but this book sparked my interest in this matter. The fear of facing depression or financial strain in retirement pushed me to consider early savings. The author uses a conversational writing style, which will maintain the reader's engagement in this book. Drawing on his experience as a financial advisor, he tackles common daily financial challenges. Furthermore, he addresses the lingering question of whether entrepreneurs should plan for retirement or continue working into old age.

I get that the author wanted to inject some lightness and cheer into the reading experience, but I felt it was a bit much, especially considering the audience was mainly older adults. I did not like the excess jokes. The jokes might not resonate well with the potential readers of this book. They made the book come across as less serious, and some readers might not take the topic as seriously as it deserves.

I rate this book a solid 5 out of 5 stars because it contains the answers to a lot of questions. This book will help people avoid struggling financially in old age. This book was free of errors and exceptionally edited. This book carries valuable messages, making it a must-read for adults aged 30 to 50, especially those approaching retirement. I also recommend it to financial advisors. It's a gem for giving sound advice to your clients.
