Review of A Dream For Peace
Dream for Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, The reader would undoubtedly ask himself as he starts reading, How can one person have gone through so much in their life? His fight began in elementary school and continued into his university years, when he formally founded several activist groups to promote Algeria's independence and the realization of his vision of world peace, which would transcend racial, ethnic, and religious divides. It's not uncommon to hear about those who overcome obstacles.
The amazing part about Dr. Berrah's existence is that he accomplished amazing accomplishments in a variety of professions and nations. He was President Houphouët-Boigny's Special Advisor in addition to being a pivotal activist in the fight for Algeria's independence and the inaugural scientist to offer a hypothesis regarding what was eventually discovered. As though all of that wasn't enough, he was also a major player in the ceaseless effort to bring Israel and Palestine together through discourse. He was close to numerous historical individuals throughout his incredible life. He had three marriages; therefore, his romantic relationship was very passionate. The author clearly states that he made forty trips around the globe at the book's conclusion.
I thought it fascinating and would be lovely to learn more details about a holy man's attempts to promote tolerance and peace throughout his life. The novel is really fantastic in that it includes behind-the-scenes descriptions of events. Its most appealing feature was that. For instance, there was a speech that Fidel Castro was supposed to give that was going to put people at risk. A few hours before, Dr. Berrah asked, "What happens if a trigger occurs and we muffle the microphone?" after receiving the speech transcript. In actuality, it was merely a deft move by an experienced diplomat, notwithstanding the official explanation of technological difficulties.
The book deserves 5 out of 5 stars. The book exposes a lot of information and is quite addictive. Learning other information regarding Dr. Berrah's accomplishments was an amazing experience. His life was full of exciting events. Upon careful consideration, I was unable to come up with any negative aspects of this book. We can reasonably state that this book has been professionally edited and is error-free. Some of the photos are not of the highest quality, but this makes sense given that they are from several decades ago.
I highly recommend this novel to anybody who wants to gain further insight into Africa's post-colonial past. You won't find any nasty language or suggestive material in this book because Dr. Berrah is a sophisticated and refined diplomat.
