Why God Allows Evil and Suffering is a theological book written by an anonymous author. The fact that the author chose to be anonymous is very interesting to me since the title a topic that has led many people to question their faith in God. The author provides explanations as to how the Creator exists and justifies all of the pain in the world which leads to many questions. Why were human beings created? What is our purpose? How does the Trinity prove that God is love?

I really enjoyed reading this book, I found that the content of the book is very thoughtful and mind-provoking, with a lot to take in. One criticism I will make is the lack of creativity with the cover design. In my opinion, it’s pretty plain as a gray background with black lettering. I know it’s a more serious book, but perhaps including some color or more unique design would help the book be picked up off the shelf more often! The tone of the book is academic and the text contains no violence or profanity. The editing is spectacular because I did not find a single error.

As a Christian myself, I found the content very interesting and I like the fact that the author cites scripture as evidence for their claims. According to the author, the focus is on love and the exercise of free will including human relationships.

I have chosen to rate Why God Allows Evil and Suffering a four out of four stars. This compelling book will have you curious about some biblical concepts. I found that this book is intended to strengthen a believer’s faith in God, I recommend this book to Christians. Perhaps non Christians or people unsure of their religious beliefs will find interesting as well!
