[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Love Changed Everything" by Wallace Eddy Briggs.]
"Love Changed Everything," a book written by Wallace E. Briggs, is a heartwarming, romantic tale of love and transformation. It follows the journey of Eddy and Pat, who meet and find themselves drawn to each other. Despite their differences, they discover a deep connection that goes beyond their pasts and expectations. Their love for each other changes everything, leading them on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth.
The author also talks about the problems his family encountered as they struggled to make ends meet. He resurrects his love for journaling. Here, he discloses the events in his life, such as his preparation for full-time ministry. He found love with Pat, whom he described as the missing spark in his life. However, their differences in religion were a major hindrance.
The author uses an easy conversational tone to narrate events. I like the way the words in the diary are easy to understand and highly relatable. I also like how he expresses his thoughts and feelings in the book without restrictions. The problems faced by the author in life helped mould his choices. It was quite unfortunate that back in those days, there weren’t as many technological advancements in medicine as there are now; otherwise, I believe Briggs' dad would have lived longer than he did. The author believes that dreams come true because he found love, fought hard to keep it, and became successful at it. This book made me realise that success comes from hard work and determination, not from any magical spell.
I didn’t find anything to dislike about this book. It’s a memoir that consists of 17 chapters and contains a lot of valuable lessons. I found some errors, which did not affect my reading in any way. I’ve learned that dreams come true if we work towards them, even if they take time.
For this reason, I give it 5 out of 5 stars, as there’s no justification to reduce its rating. It is recommended for those who love and enjoy reading books on love. Again, those who enjoy reading memoirs should get this book.
