Review of Reconfigurement
E. Alan Fleischauers book Reconfigurement is an exceptional guide book to steer individuals into planning for their retirement. Retirement is not something we often think about during our busy lives. Our lives are often full of family commitments, family values, work ethic but what the author tries to explain within the book is how much better your life could be once you hit the retirement age and you can sit back and relax for the first time in your life. If this book is any interest to you, and you wish to understand how planning ahead can improve your life, I recommend you get yourself a copy of this book.
The author's focus for the book is to empower individuals to plan ahead and enjoy life once they hit retirement age. The importance of planning ahead is to simply have fun and not have to think about important things after you have completed a lifetime of working. Would you want a retirement of joy, spending time with your children and grandchildren? If your answer is yes, I would consider thinking about planning for them these days, as this will give them something to look forward to later in life. The author takes a motivational speaking approach for his book and wastes no time in discussing the benefits of planning ahead. One important point that the author makes that I thought was significant to point out is the importance of agreeing to undertake a career assessment. The author explains that by agreeing to a career assessment, it will allow you to identify the career that is best suited to you.
I like the style that the author has chosen to write in. The style is conversational, and it feels like the author is speaking to me. To me, I found that the language was clear, non-judgmental, and precise. I liked that. The discussions the readers have had were influential, meaning that readers may be influenced to take the plunge and plan ahead in the hope that they can have a happy, settled life once the retirement age hits. The author's optimism is also quite clear, and again, I liked this. The author gives simple points, but what I adored was how he backed up these points with evidence in the form of figures. This shows that the author conducted much-needed research. In relation to errors, I found no errors in the book, which indicates that the book was professionally edited, and I liked this. I commend the author for this.
In relation to negative aspects, I do not believe there is anything to dislike. The information that the author includes in his book is unique and interesting. All of these are the ingredients that are needed in order to create a successful book. In some instances in the book, I felt that it was educational, and I liked that. All of these points, both positive and negative, have geared me into the decision that the book deserves 5 out of 5 stars.
In conclusion, I enjoyed the book, and I no doubt believe that other individuals will have the same effect. I think that the book has led me to believe that planning ahead is essential to enjoying a stress-free life after retirement. I think that the book appeals to the older generation and the young adults who are eager to plan their lives.
